My motto is "Get out of your comfort zone!!"
Hi! My name is Fernando Gonçalves.
I'm a Brazilian DevOps Engineer who loves music, photography, games, and IT! I'm always excited to learn new technologies, to interact with new people and to solve problems.
Having experienced different realities, I have learned the importance of the context that surrounds each problem I'm presented to. The power that IT gives us to deal with these problems is at the core of why I love to be a developer.
My main career goal is to solve relevant problems through innovation, making a difference in the world.
At Daitan Group, I started as a DevOps Engineer working directly with a team from Silicon Valley. My activities involved automating deployments on cloud providers, use tools such as SaltStack to manage server configuration, and work with continuous integration techniques using Jenkins and Docker.
After been an intern, I became a Software Analyst with focus on providing infrastructure support and spreading the DevOps culture to the team.
I started at PromonLogicalis as an intern on Q&A and infrastrucutre. This opportunity taught me important concepts and practices that went beyond just coding.
As a participant of the Science Without Borders program, sponsored by the Brazilian Government, I had the opportunity to study at Budapest University of Technology and Economics for one year.
During this time, I took part in a research project on code obfuscation that endedup been the basis for my BSc thesis.
At NAP-AMDA, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the website where the research group would publish its findings.
As an intern at IFSC, I was responsible for providing information technology support to the library's Scientific Production area and help them with daily activities.
I also took the initiative to develop applications to bring more agility to manual activities, such as publishing the last book acquisitions, and developed a website for an event.
During my time at USP, I engaged in several activities such as junior enterprises, student tutoring groups and class presidency. With such activities, I aimed to get in touch with things that I had never experienced before.
After been part of an internal selection process at Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP, I moved up to a job level III, assuming activities related with the Academic Section of the University.
As a freelance developer for r5 Systems, I developed features for a oil company system based on Delphi.
At Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP, I was mainly responsible for executing acquisitions processes and managing the property of the Campus. As it was not an IT position, I started doing some freelancing on my spare time.
At DinizSoft, I became a Delphi developer after been first in class in a programming course designed to recruit new employees for the company.
I started working as an IT Technician at ABCRede Telecom, mainly configuring wired and wireless networks.
